Type that earns its scale
Big type is a promise. If the words underneath aren't worth it, the size just makes the emptiness louder.
It’s tempting to set a headline at 120px and call it confident. But scale is a multiplier - it makes good copy great and weak copy embarrassing.
Before you go big
Ask whether the line can carry the weight. A vague headline at huge size doesn’t read as bold; it reads as a placeholder nobody replaced.
The headlines that survive being huge are short, specific, and a little opinionated. “Brand-led websites, built with care” can take 120px. “Solutions for your business needs” cannot - no font size will save it.
Earn the scale with the words first. Then turn it up.
